Island View Family Holiday Park is situated on stunning Waiotahi beach, Opotiki – a true beachfront location, with unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean and overlooking White Island. The sandy beach offers safe swimming, and the local surf club is within 100 metres. You will be spoilt for choice with our new pool providing an alternative to sea swimming.

Island View Holiday Park has operated as a traditional Kiwi Camp for 44 years. Under new ownership since 2005, and new management since 2013 - the camp has benefited from significant investment in infrastructure, accommodation and leisure facilities. The ongoing improvements, together with the prime absolute beachfront location, a good range of mainly free leisure facilities, and relaxed atmosphere means that Island View is deserving of it’s No. 1 ranking on Trip Advisor for the region. The Opotiki region is popular for watersports, bush walking, cycling, big game fishing, and diving. Island view holiday park is just a few minutes drive to Opotiki township, and 20-30 minutes via Ohiwa harbour to Ohope and Whakatane. Island View holiday park is a great base from which to explore all that the region has to offer, and is ideally located to start and/or finish an East Cape road trip.

Distances:

Island View Family Holiday Park is located on Waiotahi Beach, the closest Holliday Park to the beach in the Opotiki region. 100m to the surf club. Five minutes drive west of Opotiki in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. 30 minutes drive to Ohope and Whakatane. Gisborne, Rotorua and White Island are within reach for day trips.

Payment Policy:

A minimum site charge of $50 per day applies for the period 20 December - 10 January. Minimum charges may be imposed at other times at the managers discretion.

Minimum stay requirements may be imposed during peak summer dates, holiday weekends and on other dates at the Managers discretion.

A 50% deposit is required to confirm and guarantee a booking, with the balance due upon arrival.

Credit Card Charges
All payments made with a credit card will incur a 3% Surcharge

Security Gate Charge/Bond)
A $10 refundable security gate charge may be added to the booking (if your stay dates fall during the periods that we operate the gates). The bond will be refunded at the end of your stay when you return the security card/s. One Security Card is required per vehicle.

GST Tax Invoice
For the purposes of GST, Where the Booking Confirmation is used as a GST Tax invoice, the Reference Number becomes the GST Tax Invoice number, and the booking confirmation becomes a GST TAX INVOICE, Zoes Campsite LTD, GST Number 96-493-576, all amounts invoiced on the GST Tax Invoice are inclusive of GST.

Other Terms
Management retains the right to alter cabin/ site arrangement for bookings less than 5 nights.
Caravans and Camper vans require an electrical WOF, and must contain their grey water.
Guests may be charged for breakages/damage/loss.

Cancellation Policy:

Refunds
Deposits are refundable with a $20 booking fee and 10% of the booking value deducted if the cancellation is advised to camp management in writing at least 1 calendar month prior to arrival dates. Deposits are non-refundable after this time.

There will be no refunds for early departure or late arrival.

Credits
We offer a credit which can be used for a future stay with no deduction if the cancellation is advised to camp management in writing at least 1 calendar month prior to the arrival dates, and at the Managers discretion at other times depending on circumstances. Use of credit is subject to availability and may be restricted during peak/busy dates.

E-Commerce Delivery of Service
Once an online booking has been made, you will receive either a "confirmation of booking" if the accommodation unit you have chosen has an instant confirmation option. If the booking is "subject to confirmation, then you will received a "confirmation subject to confirmation from the booking operator". When you have paid the 50% deposit as required under our payment policy, then you will receive another email, the "confirmation of 50% deposit been paid" or if you have paid for your booking in full you will be emailed with the "confirmation of booking and payment made in full".

Child Policy:

Child rates apply for children up to and including 12 years. Adult rates apply for 13 years and older.

Additional Information:

Pets by arrangement and at hosts discretion in restricted areas of the camp, dog policy will need to be signed on check in by the Guest. No dogs are permitted at anytime in any of the cabins or the ablutions / areas.

Dog policy
The Dog is to remain on your assigned site, and must not be walked around the campground, nor around the office or facilities.
The Dog can be walked on lead directly from your site to the beach, via the access-way located at the eastern end of the camp.
The Dog is not permitted to roam the camp at any time.
The Dog must be transported across the camp in your vehicle upon arrival/departure.
Dogs must not be a nuisance to neighboring campers
Dogs must be pre-approved and sighted by management at check in.
Dogs must be flea treated and fully immunised.
Dogs must socialise well with adults, children and other dogs.
Excessive barking or any aggression will not be tolerated.
Please pick up your Dog Droppings immediately
Any breach of the above policy may result in your removal without refund from the camp.
