Background

Seekom was established in 2002 by IT and travel industry professionals with a  vision of providing a low cost, functionally rich booking solutions to tourism operators.

From our beginnings in accommodation systems, we rapidly expanded to also become the leading supplier of rental car booking systems in New Zealand. We have since expanded our product range to include solutions for tour operators and wholesalers. Clients and authorised resellers of our online booking, sales channel management and distribution solutions are spread throughout New Zealand, Australia, South Pacific and UK.

Environment & Security

Our products are web based and run in a secure data centre in Wellington (New Zealand) operated by Catalyst Ltd. We operate a mirrored server environment with backup server being updated by transactions from the production server in real time. The servers run on the Linux operating system and data is maintained in a PostgreSQL open source database. All iBex products are developed in PHP. All database transactions are logged for security and integrity.

If need be, we can analyse the logs for any bookings requiring scrutiny.

Data is communicated between the applications and database using using industry standard XML based on protocols defined by the Open Travel Alliance.
