You only need to create a new allocation pool if you have wholesalers or agents who you want to provide inventory separately to either yourself or other wholesalers/agents.
Note that if your existing pool or pools have already utilised the max rooms as defined in the Room Type screen then you will be unable to assign any allocation to the new pool. Although this will not stop registering a new pool now, you will have to reduce your allocation on the other pool(s) first before you can assign a non zero allocation to this new pool.
To create a new allocation pool, follow the steps below.

Select Admin | Room Type from the upper Menu bar.

Click the Allocation button (towards the bottom of the screen).

Select the required room type from the Selected Room list box.

It will already have the room type selected that was being displayed prior to calling this screen.

Click the New button and the screen will prompt you to enter a new Pool Name.

Enter the validity period or accept the default period and enter the Allocation value and set the Sell Method and If Not Avlbl options.

Click the Save button.
