Facilities:

Octopus Resort has a stunning white sandy beach, with fantastic sunsets, and amazing snorkelling right off the beach, the resort also has a swimming pool.

The bar and restaurant have a sand floor, so no shoes needed at meal times.

A daily laundry service is available to all guests for a small charge. There is a telephone available for guests use at the office for making local or international calls. We also have a Satellite broadband Internet Service so you can check your email, and stay in touch with the outside world if you wish.

Payment Policy:

Credit card details and a 10% deposit are required to secure your booking.

To reserve your room, prepayment is required 30 days prior to your arrival date.

Meal Plan is compulsory and must be sold with accommodation rates. Reservations will not be accepted without the meal plan.

Cancellation Policy:

Should anyone cancel their reservation 30 days prior to arrival we will allow a full refund.

If you cancel 21 to 7 days before your stay there is a 25 % cancellation fee.

If you cancel 7 days before your stay the full amount of the stay will be charged.

Octopus Resort is not responsible for any variation in exchange rates that may occur through the period of your reservation and booking.

Child Policy:

Children over 10 years will be charged the extra person rate of $45 - $55 USD per night per person. Children between 3 - 10 yrs are $39 - $45 USD per child, and children under 3 years are free, when accompanied by an adult. The children's meal plan is $25 USD per child for 3 - 10 yrs, over 10 yrs is $35 USD, and under 3 yrs is free of charge.

Additional Information:

Octopus Resort is located 27 nm from the Fijian mainland, on Waya Island, the largest land mass in the Yasawa Island Group. Octopus' own speedboat, the Magic, makes a return trip to the island every day. The Magic leaves Vuda Marina (a few KMs from the Airport in Nadi) at 10.00am and returns from Octopus at 12.00pm. The journeys take approximately one hour each way and are scheduled to meet most of the flights serving Nadi Airport, allowing the maximum time possible on the island. Air conditioned minibus transport from the airport or from local hotels are included in the transfer.

Guests requiring transfers outside of these times can arrange a private charter.

Normal rates - $63USD each way (this includes air conditioned transfers to and from the marina)

Charter rates - $300USD for up to 4 people - for more than 4 people it is $63USD per person

The island is also accessible on the Yasawa Flyer, which serves the whole Yasawa Island chain. The Yasawa Flyer leaves Port Denarau Marina at 08.30am and arrives at Octopus at 11.00am on its journey north up the island chain. On its return the Yasawa Flyer leaves Octopus at 15.00pm and returns to the mainland by 17.45pm (coach transfers are available).

We're often told that our 15 person single bed dormitory is one of the best in Fiji. Our dorm is well lit, aired and cleaned daily. Our dorm is equipped with single beds (no bunks) a quality pillow, mosquito net, bedside table, individual reading lamps and is fully air-conditioned , a rare thing to find in the Yasawas. Dorm beds are supplied with fresh clean linen, towels and a beach towel on a daily basis.

Poppys Beachfront Suites

We also have three luxury beachfront suites, there is the option of two interconnecting rooms if desired. Located right in the heart of the resort, right on the best part of the beach. The wonderful views can be enjoyed from inbuilt "day beds" on the balconies. Poppy's has the highest grade of fixtures, fittings and appointments in the resort. All suites are fully air conditioned.
