Queen Charlotte Suite
Located upstairs on the East side of the lodge the Queen Charlotte is a beautiful spacious room with the forest in touching distance. There are great bush and waterfront views both from the suite and the large deck accessible through the bifold doors.
Enjoy the bush views from the ensuite while soaking in a 100yr old nice, deep, clawfoot bath after walking the Queen Charlotte Track from ships cove. The Queen Charlotte Suite has been named after the Sound where Captain Cook often visited to provision his ships.
Maximum occupancy: 2 person/s
Bedding configuration: Super king bed, or twin single beds
Howden Suite
Also upstairs the Howden Suite overlooks the sea and has great bush views and a large round porthole window in the ensuite so you can relax in a hot bath with a glass of local wine while watching the boats plying their trade at the wharf below. The Howden Suite has been named after Patrick Howden who gifted the 1000 acres of virgin native forest known as Howdens Bush to New Zealand, and who's ancestors preserved this magnificent forest which surrounds the
No Road Inn to this day.
Maximum occupancy: 2 person/s
Bedding configuration: Super king bed, or twin single beds
Resolution Suite
The HMS "Resolution " was Captain Cook's ship on his second voyage to New Zealand and this suite is on the ground floor with sea and bush views and is very sheltered from any breezes. A great deck to watch the native birds from while keeping an eye on your surfcaster at the beach. Some large schnapper and blue cod have been caught from the front of this room. The resident Kingfishers who regularly fish from the trees directly in front of this room will keep you company, they usually catch as many fish as we do, and they don't use bait!!
Maximum occupancy: 2 person/s
Bedding configuration: Super king bed, or twin single beds
Adventure Suite
A stones throw to the sea and close to the wharf the spacious Adventure suite is well suited to the early risers who intend to fish an early tide or walk at sun up in the native forest at the rear of the property. There is a filleting bench and crayfish cooker nearby, Yumm. Adventure has no bath but a double walk in shower. The HMS Adventure, commanded by Captain Tobias Furneaux, accompanied Cook's ship HMS Resolution on his second expedition to the Marlborough Sounds.
Maximum occupancy: 2 person/s
Bedding configuration: Super king bed, or twin single beds
